Who we are:

We are artists, mothers, lovers, professionals, activists, and most of all friends. We are an empowered community of wommin who embraces our cultural diversity, and artistic, political and spiritual expression. Having said that, we welcome all women who identify as women of color, who would enjoy the above, single or coupled; young or not so young; and though it should go without saying, of any and all political and religious persuasion; ethnicity; class; and gender presentation (i.e., femme, butch, androgynous, or none of the above).

[And just to be clear, guys (straight or gay), no offense, we love you, but this is a women's only group.]

What we do:

We seek to celebrate ourselves, expand our community and build long lasting friendships. In our attempt to build a stronger community and support system for same gender loving wommin of CT, our group organizers will plan monthly community meetings/events. Our events will hopefully be reflective of the diverse interests and cultures of the members in the group, ranging from discussions to poetry, games, movies and other opportunities for wommin to just get together and have fun.

How we do it all:

With help. We extend an invitation to group members to get involved, if they have an interest in joining the organizing team, have an event idea, or want to plan an event.
